Vaccination rollout at Dona Josefa Elementary School

After a very long time where face to face gatherings where not allowed, Dona Josefa Elementary school decided to have their General PTA meeting following the face-to-face back to school and we used this opportunity to introduced ourselves to the parents and guardians for us to established a better rapport with them. Our team, together with the Barangay NDP and Midwife was tasked to educate them regarding COVID-19 vaccine and their effects. Ma’am Precious Olegario, the Barangay NDP also held a vaccination rollout at the school for those willing to get their vaccines. Despite the health education and scientific proofs backing up the vaccines, it is really still hard to convinced them because only few people got their vaccines. 

This is the very reason why the vaccination rate of Barangay Dona Josefa is low despite of having a very large population. There are different factors that affects the decision or view of the people about the vaccine and this is considered to be a public health problem that needs to addressed.
