Team Doña Josefa Commits to Proper Solid Waste Management
Last February 22, 2023, Team Doña Josefa attended the Environmental Management Bureau's Technical Assistance program, aimed at helping local government units (LGUs) establish Barangay Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and converting existing junk shops to Barangay MRFs. This program is part of the EMB's efforts to promote proper solid waste management across the Municipality.
Team Doña Josefa's attendance at the program is an indication of their commitment to proper solid waste management in their community. By attending this program, they are able to gain valuable insights and learn best practices in establishing and maintaining MRFs in their Barangay.
The Technical Assistance program covered a range of topics related to solid waste management, including the proper segregation of waste, the establishment of MRFs, and the conversion of junk shop to Barangay MRFs.
