It is preventable with proper vaccination and education. Team Doña Josefa raised awareness about the importance of vaccinating pets, proper handling of animals, and seeking medical attention after a bite.

Operation Timbang (OPT) was also advocated for during the event. OPT is a program that aims to monitor the nutritional status of children below six years old. The team shared information on the importance of monitoring a child's growth and development and how OPT can help identify nutritional deficiencies.

Dengue Campaigns and Hand Foot Mouth Disease Advocacy were also part of the activities. These diseases are common in tropical countries and can be prevented through proper hygiene and sanitation practices. Team Doña Josefa shared information on how to prevent and manage these diseases.

Advocacy on Family Planning was also a part of the activities. Family planning is essential in promoting maternal and child health, as well as improving the economic status of families. The team provided information on the different family planning methods available and how to access them.
