Engaging for Change: ADZU Medical Students Return to Barangay Doña Josefa

In a spirited pursuit of community health advancement, the medical students of Ateneo De Zamboanga (ADZU) eagerly descended upon Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on August 10, 2023. Our mission: to address health challenges head-on and forge meaningful connections in the process. Our destination was familiar yet filled with possibilities - Barangay Doña Josefa, a community that had witnessed our commitment unfold over four exposures.

Our return to Barangay Doña Josefa carried a unique blend of familiarity and anticipation. As the sun rose, so did our eagerness to serve and make a tangible impact. Assigned to the heart of the community, we embarked on our mission with a renewed spirit, ready to identify, understand, and contribute to the resolution of vital health concerns.

A cornerstone of our day's endeavor was a courtesy visit to Barangay Chairman Eduard Alimpos. The exchange was warm, and our conversation rich in insights. This interaction not only solidified our alliance with the community but also set the stage for a day of collaboration and understanding.

Our connection with the community had deepened, and our determination to foster positive change had been reignited. Our exposure was a testament to the belief that united efforts, empathy, and education form the pillars of a healthier future for all.
