5th Community Exposure: Barangay Health Board session.

On March 6, 2024, Team DJ took a significant step towards community health improvement by attending the Barangay Health Board session with the barangay officials of Barangay Doña Josefa. The session served as a platform for collaboration and discussion, where our teams and barangay officials came together to discuss updates and future plans for various Community Health Plan (CHP) initiatives.

The session began with the ZOD group presenting updates and future plans for the Zero Open Defecation CHP. Their presentation highlighted the progress made in promoting proper sanitation practices and outlined strategies for achieving the goal of zero open defecation in the barangay.

Following this, the SWM group presented their activities for the current community expose and future plans for proper solid waste management. Their presentation showcased the importance of effective waste management in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for all residents.

Lastly, the hypertension group presented their activities, strategies, and future plans for managing hypertension among residents of Barangay Doña Josefa. Their presentation emphasized the importance of early detection, lifestyle modifications, and regular monitoring in controlling hypertension and preventing its complications.

The session was a fruitful collaboration between Team DJ and barangay officials, highlighting the shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of the community. It provided a valuable opportunity for both parties to discuss challenges, share ideas, and work together towards a healthier future for Barangay Doña Josefa.
